We are almost complete with the new cart paths. They have been paved and all we have left to do is to backfill with dirt and then sod. They look great and are silky smooth. On another note we will be doing some work on the course over the next couple of weeks. On Wednesday we are spraying our roughs wall to wall and removing the trees that were cut down this winter. The spray we are using is designed to kill the poa annua that has shown up in a large amount this year mainly due to the cold and wet winter and spring. We will then mow it down and you should see it check out over the next few days. We will also be working on the greens on holes 1 and 11 over the next week. We have a couple of areas on each green that were affected by the harsh winter that we are going to replace by using part of the putting green. We will also be re-sodding several tee boxes over the next couple of weeks. Finally in the coming weeks we will be sodding some of the fairways due to some winterkill that has occurred. We have seen some growth over the past few weeks but we are going to be proactive and try to get the best playing surface available as soon as possible. We will be offering some special deals for golf during the process but we do not anticipate any major disruptions in play.
